Cadets Drum and Bugle Corp comes to West Chester
The Cadets, a program of Youth Education in The Arts, are one of the oldest and most honored continuously operating drum and bugle corps in the world with performing members from all over the country and world. The corps will travel over 20,000 miles this summer entertaining hundreds of thousands of fans throughout the nation. The fabulous drum corps will bring their marching music excitement to Farrell Stadium on the campus of West Chester University in West Chester, Pa. at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1. The defending World Champion Cadets are back to re-invent what we all think about Christmas, especially in the summertime. Carolina Crown is currently ranked in second place and closing the gap with the Blue Devils each evening with their program based on “Fanfare for the Common Man.” Santa Clara Vanguard entertains the crowd with a blast from their past of “The Planets.” The Cavaliers do what they do so well with a show titled “15 Minutes of Fame.” The Blue Knights bring back a drum corps classic, “The Firebird,” with an all-new spin. Local favorites the Crossmen are back with a sophisticated jazz flavored show entitled ‘Fragile’. Jersey Surf brings the crowd alive with a salute to the Bayonne Bridgemen in a show titled “Bridge-mania,” with all the crazy antics you’d expect! — a fantastic seven corps’ lineup on a Wednesday evening in a fabulous facility!
